Venus in Taurus: Grounding Ourselves Before The World Moves at a Maddening Pace
Venus is finally moving into its home sign of Taurus on the night of June 5th.
Before we dive into the lush, sensual energy of Venus in Taurus, let’s talk about what’s been happening lately and why frustrations may have come up in relationships or financial situations over the past week or so.
Why Are Relationships Feeling So Intense Right Now?
I’ve been getting a lot of messages lately to the effect of:
“Why are so many people breaking up?”
“Why do I suddenly feel like I can’t trust my partner?”
"Why is everyone getting under my skin?"
Venus has been in Aries conjunct Chiron (the wounded healer) for a week now, which can bring old wounds to the surface. Venus in Aries is already in detriment, meaning it’s not the most comfortable placement for Venus. Aries emphasizes individuality over harmony, which can clash with Venus’s natural desire for connection.
When Venus meets Chiron, it brings up those buried insecurities, those moments when you felt rejected, overlooked, or even betrayed. The good news? This transit also holds immense healing potential. But healing isn’t always easy, is it? It’s messy. It’s raw. We ultimately have to decide if it’s worth the effort to navigate the tension with someone, to hopefully solve problems with them and evolve alongside them.
This is a week to reflect on your relationships—not just romantic ones, but all kinds of connections. Ask yourself:
Do I project self-love onto my relationships? Or do I project unhealed aspects of myself? And what is being projected by the other person?
Do I accept the rougher edges, the so-called imperfections in myself and my friend or partner?
If old wounds are resurfacing in my relationship or my friendship, is this a sign to run from that person or to confront the wounds and heal together?
Have I created space for vulnerability and openness?
Venus governs self-worth as well, a theme that can also define the trajectory of our relationships at this time. If the questions above are overwhelming, consider huddling around the core themes of self-love and self-acceptance. Are there certain dynamics that block these feelings of internal fulfillment? Are those dynamics present in your relationships right now?
This transit can reveal that a certain relationship is toxic, or alternatively that the relationship is challenging us to address our wounds and embark on an earnest healing journey.
As long as both parties are willing to be emotionally open and vulnerable, their bond can strengthen and they can embrace one another more completely. Ultimately, the Venus-Chiron conjunction serves as a reminder that we’re all human, we’ve all gone through painful moments in life and we all have the capacity to overcome those moments and experience true self-love. This will naturally flow into our relationships which can reach a new level of maturity and closeness after this transit.
With Venus ruling money as well, some people might instead be dealing with aggravating scenarios in more of a financial context.
Venus in Taurus: A Return to Stability
While Venus-Chiron can be seen as a healing opportunity, the reality is that it often comes in response to a painful moment in a relationship. The good news is that Venus is leaving Aries and entering its home sign of Taurus late in the evening on June 5th, where it will stay for about a month. Venus in Taurus should have a calming effect—it’s grounded, sensual, and deeply connected to the five senses.
This is the transit where you indulge in life’s simple pleasures—a great meal, your favorite music, a walk in nature. Taurus asks us to slow down and observe our apparent reality from a place of contentment.
Venus Square Pluto (June 5–14)
If you want to truly enjoy the Venus in Taurus transit, you’ll want to navigate some of its more intense aspects carefully. First, Venus will square Pluto in Aquarius from June 5 to June 14. This may continue some of the drama of the Venus-Chiron conjunction for some. Pluto loves to dig up the stuff we’d rather avoid—control dynamics, power struggles, hidden fears.
Harsh Venus-Pluto aspects can lead to the leaking of a damaging secret in a relationship or they can conjure obsessive attachments in relationships. With Pluto there’s no middle ground, thus an extreme scenario can unfold on either side of the spectrum (e.g. destruction of a relationship or an intense intimacy and intertwining of souls).
Pluto’s extremes can instead be directed towards other Venusian themes like finances. Perhaps you’ll experience an intense urge to spend or to attract resources. No matter what theme manifests for you, it’s best to pursue things in moderation to mitigate Pluto’s obsessive nature.
You might notice themes from December 7-14 2024 resurfacing. That’s when Venus and Pluto last conjoined, kicking off a cycle of deep transformation in relationships and finances. Think back to what was happening in your life around those dates. Those themes might be activated again.
How to navigate this energy:
Be honest: If there’s tension in a relationship, don’t bury it. Pluto demands transparency, even if it’s uncomfortable.
Reflect on power dynamics: Are you giving too much power away? Or are you holding onto control in ways that don’t serve you?
Embrace transformation: Pluto’s not waging a war with destruction as the end goal, but rather as a means to transformation. If something feels out of alignment, this is your chance to rebuild.
After June 14, Venus continues along in Taurus, and relationships should ease up around that time, or at the very least on June 17 when the Mars-Uranus square comes to a close. June 17–29 could be considered a Goldilocks Zone where Venus is not getting rattled by the other planets. Consider the second half of June prime time for enjoying life’s sweet, simple comforts or to experience greater harmony internally, among nature or among others who share similar values with you.
Venus Conjunct Uranus at 29° Taurus (June 29–July 4)
By the end of the month, Venus aligns with Uranus at the final degree of Taurus (the anaretic degree). This is a moment of surprises and breakthroughs. It’s unpredictable, disruptive, and potentially liberating, and could serve to wrap up some of the themes of Uranus’ transit through Taurus dating back to May 2018.
Uranus in Taurus has encouraged all of us over the past 7 years to develop a set of authentic personal values that ideally are reflected in our relationships, our creative efforts and our sources of income (i.e. our careers). The conjunction with Venus at the final degree could trigger long-overdue changes in some relationships or could validate the authenticity of our values and connections.
Here’s what you might experience:
Sudden shifts in relationships: This could be a breakup for some (especially those with major placements near 29 degrees of the Fixed Signs), a breakthrough, or a surprise revelation. Uranus conjures the shocking, the weird and the random, so it’s hard to say exactly what will unfold, but ideally it leads to both parties feeling more authentic in the relationship. As mentioned before, it could reinforce relationships that already allow for free expression of self.
Creative or financial inspiration: Uranus is the planet of innovation, so this is a great time to think outside the box when it comes to monetization or creativity. Since the conjunction is aligned with the Fixed Star Alcyone, many people could have incredible creative breakthroughs.
Why This All Matters
This Venus in Taurus transit is ultimately helping ground you in your unique values before everything kicks into high gear right after.
With Uranus moving into Gemini on July 7, the pace of life is about to accelerate. AI, automation, and rapid technological advancements are going to reshape how we work, connect, and live.
Within that context, Venus in Taurus offers us a chance to anchor ourselves in what truly matters to us so that we can have a sense of centeredness no matter how quickly technology progresses. There will be a relentless stream of bright shiny new technologies, and we’ll have to use our own judgement and decide whether we want to integrate these into our lives.
You won’t be able to rely on a regulatory agency to figure it out for you. You’ll have to continuously hold the latest & greatest promises from tech up to your own standards and values. At some point people may have to decide whether they want to be part of the tech revolution at all. Much of this depends on the values you solidify while Venus is in Taurus right now, as well as next April when Venus and Uranus meet one final time in Taurus…

Evan, I just now got to watching your live show on Instagram from 5 days ago. I had a reading with you Sept 2024 (thank you ⭐), and I still regret not telling you a little bit about myself so that you would know what choices I had already made and the mental space that I was in. I didn't want to interrupt you or take up your time (you even told me that my chart is someone that would be far too considerate in this way 🤦🏻♀️). And I was in a really weird space after going through a major surgery just a few weeks before our reading, and I kept wondering if this would throw you off. I had no reason to keep any secrets from you! ❗All this to say: Yes, yes and yes to encouraging your clients to sharing and engaging. I am 100 % confident that it will add a really important dimension to the readings.
I am genuinely hoping to get another chance at a reading from you in the future, with all cards on the table. 🍀🤞
Great article, Evan. My Taurus sun is looking forward to Uranus moving out. The Venus piece is very welcome (Leo rising) but at the moment really feeling the Chiron piece. Lot of shadow stuff coming up and also really looking hard at finances/considering taking some action which aligns with what you’re saying about Pluto.
